The 9/11 attack on NYC twin towers changed our attitudes. We have been forthcoming to all cultures and religions but now we are facing the hatred of same.

We see the ever increasing change of what being an AMERICAN is. Are we going to continue to accept people who wish to emigrate here but have absolutely no allegiance to this country? I blame our willingless to be fair and accepting to dispel the “ugly american” persona.
In my opinion we are being taken to the “cleaners”
Instead of participating and fighting to make their own country’s governments responsible for their plight they look to America as their saviour.
Our sovereignty is slowly being eroded to accomodate whoever gets to step on our soil.
Personally I don’t care two hoots what language they speak or what their beliefs are. I’m used to hearing a multitude of different languages in public everyday.
Just don’t make our government and its citizens make the adjustments if they choose not to learn our legal language of communications, which is english.

Unfortunately Guantanamo detainees have been isolated so long that resentment and hatred, I’m sure, is becoming part of their nature. Thankfully the idea to transfer them to American soil was scrapped.
Of course, our resources are still being used to accomodate released detainees to other countries.

Thankfully it could be said that at least we are not living in fear of daily bombings that other countries are experiencing. Maybe thats why they all want “TO COME TO AMERICA”?
