For what it is worth, having followed a number of these Grand Inquiries over the years I'm confident I can predict the findings and ultimate impact of the Inqurey - have blogged them here: http://wp.me/pHMG9-1y

Thanks, Will. A particular fine analysis of the lamentable state in which we find ourselves. I normally count on my good friend The Talking Dog to provide me, however inadvertently, with T-shirt slogans, but you have provided me with my slogan of the week -- hell, of the month, probably:
"The emperor has no clothes, he’s drunk, and he’s attempting to drive away with our children."

Was there ever any doubt that the war was a set up job to acquire the oil fields and have a safe haven from which they could launch attacks against Iran. It's the same damn plan that's been kicking around since 1916 and it didn't work then either! I mean, if a psychopath like Bush wants to play toy soldier he will find a weak country, like Reagan did at Grenada, and throw the great might of the US military against it. Always from a safe distance, Georgie likes to go BOOM and laugh like a child... sigh. The really bad thing about the failure of the American people to keep that man on a leash is that we have confirmed for everybody to see that our "great military" is a sad shadow of the monster we portray it. American boys and girls are just not ready to risk their lives to make other people more wealthy. We suck at nation building while our nation is falling around our ears. I used to work for DOT, NY and back then, more than a decade ago, my boss was telling me which bridges to avoid driving over because they could collapse any minute. But the politicians are too busy playing word and war games to understand the real threat, which is the collapse of our infrastructure. The real threat means it will cause real lasting damage and if people feel they can't count on the four tier high overpass to stay up in the air, well they will start doubting a lot of things, like the immortality of our invincibility and the rightness of our being. The emperor has no clothes, he's drunk, and he's attempting to drive away with our children. Ya know what else? We got a black man in the White House and he's as crooked and rich as any other politician. Big surprise! and yes some of my best friends are black, but they're all poor as I am.
