Hi TD,
Yes indeed. I also find it weirder than with Bermuda that these men are now in a supremely remote location, still away from their families after eight years, in a place with a population of 20,000, but no Uighurs, and just 500 Muslims, mostly workers from Bangladesh. And this is progress ....
Those Kiyemba cases are discussed in the following:

Well, those of us who care about the legal angle are perversely pleased that at least some of the Uighurs will remain at GTMO, because at least it won't give the Gov't an excuse to argue that the Kiyemba case-- which is the appeal of the reversal of Judge Urbina's order-- is moot. Instead, a fourth showdown over GTMO in the Supreme Court looks inevitable (and coming down the pike is Kiyemba II, dealing with the abillity of courts to block return of detainees to countries where they will all but certainly face mistreatment by someone other than the United States.)

Not that I don't have every confidence in the Obama Administration's ability to evade compliance with the Kiyemba decision too, of course, just as the Bush Admin. before it had managed to avoid complying with the substance of Rasul, Hamdan and Boumediene.

But at least it sounds good.
