Hi Marium,
I don't dispute the dates you've located via the DoD website, but there's generally a discrepancy between the dates the Pentagon puts out the information and the dates the prisoners were actually put on the plane.

My understanding was that all three prisoners mentioned in this article were returned on the same date, but I accept, as you note, that two were released on October 31, and the other on November 4. I also know that the Algerians were released on November 11. My article dealing with their stories (or one of them) is here, but I didn't write it until December:
http://www.andyworthington.co.uk/2008/12/09/lost-in-guantanamo-the-faisalabad-16/

I published this article about the three releases (on Oct. 31 and Nov, 4, as you have clarified) on November 11, but I stated in it that the releases took place on the eve of the election.

Hope this clears things up.

the individuals released on Nov 11 were two algerians - not the ones mentioned in this entry - as per the US Department of Defence website:
http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/release.aspx?releaseid=12342

The Somalian detainee was released on Nov 4, and then 2 Algerians were released on Nov 11.

Hi.

Looking at this blog, it seems to suggest from the Miami Herald news report that all three detainees were released in November - however the Tajik and Kazak were released on oct 31 as per the US Department of Defence website: http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/release.aspx?releaseid=12326.
