Dear Andy,
Thanks for sharing your work. Really appreciate it. I've circulated to the supporters and friends of the Uyghurs. I wish I have seen your FFF piece earlier so that can I borrow the lines on a NPR program that I've appeared last week. I really appreciate your eloquently stating that "but all they had in their arsenal were recycled and thoroughly discredited claims that the Uyghurs were 'danger to the public'..." It's incredible that they've been changing their position whenever it's politically expedient. As you may be aware, there will be a hearing on Nov. 24 at the DC Circuit Court and I sincerely hope we can put an end to the illegal imprisonment of those unfortunate Uyghurs.
Thank you again for your efforts to educating the public about the ongoing injustice in Gitmo.
Best,
Nury A. Turkel
