Financial crisis, held in low esteem by world opinion, up to their eyeballs in debt to countries they consider to be beneath them but nothing stops the Americans from throwing their money and weight around.
It’s nice that the guys in Guantánamo have someone looking out for them. It’s nice to hear of innocent men being reunited with their families. I suppose some kind of redress is out of the question.
