Andy,

I was coming to comment on this, and I see that others have had these same thoughts. My biggest worry is Bagram. I hear that Bagram is worse than Guantanamo.

There's also Camp Bucco (sp) in Iraq. And others, as someone mentioned, including Abu Ghraib where al-Jamadi was murdered.

You've done such a fantastic job on the Guantanamo detainees.. hopefully sometime soon when Guantanamo is closed, you could do Bagram as well. It's really easy for me to suggest that, isn't it? ;-)

Anyway, it's hard to find information for detainees there, and even harder for Camp Bucco. I don't know how you managed to do the Guantanamo detainees, but I really do admire that you did!

I have to tell you - you made things a whole lot easier for those of us who send out alerts and so on. It now takes a fraction of the time it did before.

As for the Palestinians, that is a huge issue, and yes, it could easily take a lifetime. There are sites dedicated to that already. They don't have the detailed stories like yours but they have at least some information.

Bless you!

After this article was published on CounterPunch, I received the following comments, reminding me – not that I needed reminding, I must add – of other illegal detention centres.

Doug Valentine sent me a single line of encouragement from Canada: “Time to start focusing on the detention camps in Iraq.”

And a new correspondent, Raymond Morin, also in Canada, wrote, “I admire your persistence on the Guantánamo prison file. This gulag has to end, no doubt. There is however, another Guantánamo that we hear little about and that is the Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails without due process. Close to 10,000 are held in Israeli jails and many of them under "Administrative Detention". The world media seems to pay little heed to them. I often wonder why? Thank you and keep up the fine work.”

Thanks, guys, If only I had the time …
